Michael is a founding partner of Insight Consultants. Michael provides strategic counsel and issues management to a range of leading Irish and multi-national companies. Michael has also media trained some of the most senior executives in Irish business life. He specialises in reputation and crisis management
Michael’s journalistic career was with The Irish Press Group where he held several senior executive positions including five years as Northern Editor in Belfast and eight years as editor of The Sunday Press, one of the country's leading newspapers. Following his journalistic career Michael joined Fleishman-Hillard Saunders, an international communications company with a large Irish office. He spent almost 10 years there, many as a Director.
Michael’s extensive media contacts, combined with his journalistic and communications expertise, have proved invaluable to the success of many Public Relations campaigns that he has spearheaded, including a number of campaigns that have been awarded the prestigious PRCA Awards for Excellence in Public Relations.
Michael is a Kildare man and a graduate of the College of Commerce, Rathmines. Michael is a frequent contributor to undergraduate and post-graduate courses in communications.
Rachel Morrogh, Insight Consultants
Rachel is a Client Director at Insight Consultants and has specific responsibility for providing clients with online PR advice and implementing web-based PR campaigns for them. She has considerable expertise and experience in the areas of corporate public relations, strategic communications solutions, new media and digital marketing. Rachel offers clients communications advice that will enhance brands and develop key audiences’ understanding of critical messages. She has devised creative and impactful work programmes that enhance the profile of her clients, with measurable results.
Rachel worked with a major Irish political party after completing her Politics MA in UCD. Since leaving the political environment, Rachel worked with Fleishman-Hillard on the Public Affairs team from 2004-2006 where she became experienced in using media relations skills to successfully implement public relations strategies for a mixed range of clients. Rachel joined Insight Consultants in 2006 and has developed a niche offering in the area of new media.
Previous clients include Musgrave Group, BT Ireland, the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland, the Broadcasting Complaints Commission and Harlequin Healthcare. Current clients include Rehab Group, Helix Health, National Disability Authority, Roche Diagnostics, TOP, Olive Safety, Mount Congreve and Wyndale Hospital.
