ACCA Ireland are inviting you to our online CPD Seminar 'The Art of War Strategy and Tactics in Business' which will be delivered by John Doris FCCA. John is a non-executive director of a number of companies including Mincon Group plc and Natures Best Limited. This online seminar will take place on Tuesday, 22nd of February 2022.
The title of the webinar is based on the name of the classic book, ‘The Art of War’ which lays out the military principles that were taught by Sun Tsu in China, about 2,500 years ago. The webinar also uses the lessons taught by Carl von Clausewitz of the Prussian Military Academy, who fought against Napoleon. In this webinar, John Doris examines how military principles can be applied for business success. The webinar will give a fresh perspective on business strategy, strategic planning and market entry.
The webinar considers how military principles can be used in preparing a business plan or in planning strategy or tactics to compete in the market-place. These principles can be used to guide a start-up that is planning to enter a market. They can also give valuable guidance for preparing a business plan for a bank or investors.
John Doris lays out the military principles to be followed by a business so that it can compete successfully. By using case studies and examples, he looks at successes arising from the application of these principles and the failures that occurred when companies violated them. He concludes by laying out tactical and strategic rules, based on military principles, that can help a business to achieve success.
The seminar will be hosted by John Doris B.A. B.Sc. M.B.A. F.C.C.A.
