OVERVIEW
Join ACCA Ireland for a brief overview of the current cybersecurity threat landscape alongside a preview of the upcoming domestic and European regulatory changes. This cybersecurity update on 28 November is brought to you in partnership with Grant Thornton, and will be delivered by GT Directors, Rida Villanueva and Camilo do Carmo Pinto together with Partners, Mike Harris and Sara McAllister.
We are delighted to be joined by experts from Grant Thornton for this session, who will share their views on the recently published National Risk Assessment in Ireland, current and emerging cybersecurity threats in the context of the Irish technology industry, businesses, individuals and the overall economy.
We will also hear from our guest speakers on the impact of recent cybersecurity-related regulations such as the Network and Information Systems Directive 2, the Digital Operational Resilience Act, and the Critical Entities Resilience Directive.

SPEAKERS
Mike Harris, Partner
Mike is a Partner in Grant Thornton based in Dublin, where he provides cybersecurity and privacy services to large corporate clients across a broad range of industries. Before joining Grant Thornton, Mike worked for many years in the European financial services and consulting practices of leading global professional services firms and has held senior cybersecurity roles in the telecommunications and Banking sectors. He advises clients in Ireland and internationally on a range of technology, cyber and risk issues.
Sara McAllister, Partner
Sara is a Partner and a highly accomplished risk professional with over 25 years national and international experience across all aspects of internal audit, risk advisory and corporate governance. Prior to becoming Partner in Grant Thornton, Sara has worked with other leading professional services firm where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant delivering to a plc client base. Thereafter she acted as Group Head of Internal Audit for the Campbell Bewley Group and Head of Risk for Pfizer Ireland respectively.
Rida Villanueva, Director
Rida is an industry leader providing broad range of cybersecurity services and thought leadership across all areas of cybersecurity. Rida leads the Cyber Risk Services of Grant Thornton providing end-to-end cybersecurity preparedness and governance services to a wide range of industry and regulatory bodies locally and at a global level. Over the years, she has gained broad-ranging experience in cybersecurity risk management, strategy development, controls design and implementation, as well as assurance reporting with a regulatory focused approach.
Camilo do Carmo Pinto, Director
Camilo is an established professional with over a decade of rich experience in Information Security and IT Forensics. He also worked for the civil service in Ireland at the Houses of the Oireachtas tasked with overall responsibility for Information Security within the organisation and its members of parliament (TDs and Senators). He has held various international positions in ICT and Information Security managing numerous teams and successfully developed and implemented organisational and technological strategies.
