Derek Andrews is a tax advisor with 20 years experience in tax planning. He is a co-founder of Andrews Tax Consulting, a tax consultancy firm that specialises in tax management and business strategy to companies and individuals in manufacturing, life science, software development, aviation and agrifood industries. They also provides in-house and bespoke professional consultancy support to accountancy and legal firms throughout Ireland.

During the course Derek Andrews will discuss 15 common problems faced by owner-managed businesses and companies arising from changes in tax law and the downturn.
The presentation will benefit accountants and tax professionals that advise on close company issues, solvent liquidations, tax-efficient cash extraction and asset-protection. Real cases from 2011 will be examined to identify the relevant tax law, risk management issues and possible solutions.
