Pat is a tax partner and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. Pat has over fifteen years' experience in tax consulting and has a wide range of experience in a number of areas including the tax planning of property transactions, the buying or selling of businesses including tax due diligence, dealing with Revenue audits, tax planning for high net worth individuals and succession planning.
More recently his focus has been on advising individuals and companies on the various tax aspects associated with restructuring, including business restructuring, the restructuring of property holding structures, incorporation options etc. He also deals with the tax aspects of insolvency assignments.
Pat has worked on international tax projects, covering areas such as cross-border acquisitions; he also advises on the tax aspects of non-resident corporates setting up or acquiring businesses in Ireland.
His experience covers a range of sectors including construction, hospitality, manufacturing, distribution, family-owned business, R&D, technology and professional service firms. His clients include investors in tax based property consortiums, property developers, family-owned companies, high net worth individuals, multi-national companies, legal advisors and other accounting firms who do not have an internal tax advisor.
Pat has contributed articles to local and national media as well as industry specific publications. He has also lectured on behalf of a number of the accountancy and other national bodies.
