Michael McAteer FCCA FCA, is a Partner (Recovery & Reorganisation) with Grant Thornton. Michael specialises in insolvency and corporate recovery. Over the last ten years Michael has been appointed as liquidator to hundreds of companies. He has acted for various financial institutions in both informal restructurings and as receiver in formal appointments. He has also been appointed to a number of high profile companies including Examiner to Eircom, Joint Administrator to Quinn Insurance Limited, Examiner to Aer Arann and Examiner to Irish Car rental trading as Europcar. Michael is a member of the CCAB-I on Insolvency matters.
