Guest Speaker: Joe Durkan ESRI
Joe Durkan is an economist with the ESRI. He had worked at the ESRI before, from 1969-1983, being the main author of the Quarterly Economic Commentary for the final 10 years of that period. He returned to the ESRI in February 2011 to author the publication and ensure continuity.
In the intervening period he spent most of his career at UCD where he was involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and in MBA teaching –both in general MBA and specific tailored MBA (Health and Financial Services).
Joe was also actively engaged in research into the Irish Economy and into Healthcare. He also worked for DKM, NCB and Coopers and Lybrand for a number of years.
