John Doris BSc MBA FCCA is principal of Meridian Business Advisors Ltd and is a non-executive director of a number of companies across a range of sectors. Before setting up Meridian Business Advisors Limited in 1998, John was a director of ABN Amro Corporate Finance, the corporate finance wing of ABN Amro Stockbrokers.
Topic Outline:
Activity Based Costing was initially developed in manufacturing industry but it has now become a very useful tool in services sector. In this lecture John Doris will look at the principles behind Activity Based Costing, how it differs from traditional costing and the development of Time Based Activity Costing. He will then consider the implementation of Activity Based Costing in a services environment.
