John Doris B.Sc. MBA FCCA is principal of Meridian Business Advisors Limited and a non-executive director of a number of companies across a range of sectors. Before setting up his corporate finance and strategy consultancy business in 1998, he was a director of ABN Amro Corporate Finance, the corporate finance wing of ABN Amro Stockbrokers and he managed the Riada BES Fund.
Topic: The Art of War - Military Strategy and Tactics in Business
The title of this talk is taken from the writings of Sun Tzu, a military commander who lived in China 2,500 years ago. His principles are as valid today as they were then. Just as military commanders fought for territory years ago, today companies fight for customers. The talk looks at how military principles can be applied in both strategy and tactics to achieve business success.
