Shane is a Tax Director based in Dublin. He is specialises in international tax, advising multinationals on investing into Ireland and domestic groups on outward investments, and has significant expertise in the area of corporate restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Shane is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor and also holds an Advanced Diploma in International Tax from the Chartered Institute of Tax. Shane has contributed to numerous publications on taxation matters, having also acted as lecturer and examiner on a number international corporate tax issues for the Irish Tax Institute.
Alison McHugh Director, Private Client, Deloitte
Alison McHugh is a Director in Deloitte’s Private Client department. She has extensive experience advising high net worth individuals and shareholders of owner managed businesses on all aspect of their tax affairs including personal tax planning, incorporation, estate & succession planning, advice on relocation to Ireland and residency issues.
Alison works with her clients to assist them in designing and implementing a comprehensive succession and estate plan tailored to meet their specific needs having regard to their asset profile and family requirements. She also advises shareholders of owner managed businesses in particular family owned businesses on a variety of issues including the tax efficient transfer of business to next generation, corporate governance model and tax planning to minimise tax exposure

This seminar will give an overview of the Minister for Finance’s decisions in relation to the budget for the coming year and how these decisions will affect tax rates in relation to income tax, corporation tax, VAT, pensions and other issues affecting businesses generally.
