Dr Kavanagh lectures in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her current research interests are in the areas of monetary policy and monetary history, transformational learning and price search.  She is the Programme Director for the BA (Hons) Economics (through Transformational Learning)
