The nominated charity this year is the the Alzheimer Society of Ireland alzheimer.ie/. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading dementia specific service provider in Ireland. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia.
Charity Raffle: The charity raffle will take place after the meal. We have 14 raffle prizes generously donated by our members including wine boxes, vouchers, hampers including a weekend for two to Paris flights and accommodation, sponsored by Professional Accountancy Training.
Here is how it works! Each host should remove raffle tickets from the envelope and distribute strips equally among guests at their table (usually 2 strips per person). The host will then pass the envelope around to give guests an opportunity to make a donation of their choice. Cash or credit/debit card payments are accepted, there are credit/debit card slips in the envelope. When all donations are complete please seal the envelope so that it is ready for collection by an ACCA staff Member.

We are delighted to have Deirdre O’Kane as our guest speaker. Deirdre O'Kane is an award winning actor and one of Ireland's favourite comedians. The last 12 months have been a whirlwind with Deirdre voicing the hugely successful Gogglebox for TV3, producing Ireland's largest ever charity comedy show for Comic Relief at the 3Arena, hosting the revamped IFTA Film & Drama Awards for national broadcaster RTÉ, and reaching the finals on the dancefloor of RTE smash hit, Dancing with the Stars.
She also starred alongside Debi Mazar and Hillary Duff in Darren Starr's hit sitcom Younger (TV Land, US) which airs in the autumn. A comedy dynamo, Deirdre's brand new 2019 stand up show, A Line of O'Kane, is currently touring nationwide.
