Join us on Thursday, 23rd February for annual ACCA Ulster Members Networking evening. We are hosting a Brexit Panel Discussion with Paul Gosling and Aidan Lyons and previous ACCA Global President Anthony Harbinson will chair the event.

 

There will be a wine reception and opportunity to network with fellow members and guests at this event. It is a free event but must be booked in advance. Please book in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

 

Paul Gosling is a writer, public speaker, broadcaster and researcher. He specialises in the economy, accountancy, the co-operative sector, public services and personal finances. He is a frequent contributor to several tv and radio programmes. A freelance journalist for 27 years, Paul has written for most quality UK and Irish national newspapers.  He contributed the weekly Questions of Cash column for The Independent’s personal finance section for more than a decade and was published in The Independent titles for virtually every week for 26 years.  Paul’s work has also appeared in the Financial TimesThe Times, the Irish Times, the Sunday Times, the Mail on Sunday, the Express, the Daily Telegraph, Ireland’s Sunday Business Post, the Irish Independent and in more than a hundred magazines.

 

Aidan joined Grant Thornton in April 2006 and heads up the Indirect Tax offering in Northern Ireland, being based in Belfast since 2011.  Prior to this he worked for Grant Thornton in London and previous to that for Big 4 firms in London. He specialises in VAT and has experience of a wide range of other UK indirect taxes including environmental taxes.  He has gained extensive experience across a wide range of clients.

 

Aidan’s particular specialisms include international services, mergers and acquisitions and property. He has advised a significant number of multi-national businesses on the international aspects of Indirect Taxation and works with businesses across all relevant sectors on EU VAT, supply chains, imports, exports and customs duties.
