ACCA Leinster Panel, together with the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers (IACT), will be delivering the webinar 'Talking Treasury' on Wednesday, 10 March, from 12:30 - 13:30.
This webinar will be chaired by Leinster panel member, Aoife Glancy and former Leinster panel member and IACT committee member, Jason Murphy. The session will cover challenges for treasurers, financial product providers and the accounting/finance teams in managing market risks for the coming year.
We are delighted to be joined by guest speakers Dara Kavanagh, Director EY Treasury, John Moclair, Head of Customer Group at Bank of Ireland and Susan McCarthy, Group Funding Manager at ESB, who will share their thoughts and insights into the challenges for the year ahead.
John Moclair, Head of Customer Group, BoI
John Moclair is Head of Customer Group in Bank of Ireland Global Markets. John’s team is based in ROI, NI, London and New York and provides a full range of treasury related products and services to the bank’s customers. Prior to joining BOI, John was Head of Fixed Income Sales at BNP Paribas. John started his treasury career in ESB Group Treasury, before being part of the team that set up FTI Treasury Finance, offering treasury solutions to Irish and international clients.
Dara Kavanagh, Director of Treasury, EY
Dara is EY’s FAAS Corporate Treasury Leader. Dara has a number of years of experience across banking, corporate finance and treasury consultancy. In his current position, Dara serves EY clients globally within the Financial Accounting Advisory Services team, specialising within the Corporate Treasury space, more specifically across:
- Treasury Transformation & Target Operating Model
- Risk Management Strategy Design and Implementation
- Treasury Accounting
Susan McCarthy, Group Fund Manager, ESB
Susan is ESB’s Group Funding Manager since July 2017. She previously held a number of senior roles in the ESB Group including Corporate Finance Manager and prior to that Financial Manager of Generation and Wholesale Market's investment unit Asset Development. Susan is a Chartered Accountant and previously worked with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Dublin.
