Sarah Meredith, Director, Grant Thornton

Sarah joined Grant Thornton in 2010 having worked in a Big Four firm for over four years.  She has significant experience in providing tax advice to family owned businesses, with some well-known large groups within her portfolio. She manages the tax compliance process for such groups, along with providing tax consulting services based on issues or opportunities identified by virtue of fostering a close relationship with these clients. 

She also has international tax experience and is involved in a significant number of group restructuring and acquisition projects.  Sarah is involved in coordinating global tax compliance and providing tax consulting services for large multinational groups. She advises numerous clients on due diligence projects regarding the sale of a business or acquisition of another company.Sarah works with a diverse range of financial services clients and provides both tax compliance and advisory services to these clients. Sarah advises companies operating within the retail and motor industries. She also works with clients in the pharma and financial services sectors.

 

Paschal Comerford, Director, Grant Thornton

Paschal joined Grant Thornton in 2016 and specialises in international tax planning. He has over 20 years’ international tax planning experience in a Big Four firm, and has extensive experience in advising multinationals in business restructuring, intellectual property planning, mergers and acquisitions and operational tax issues. 

Paschal also has experience in the financial services sector including leasing, aviation finance, group treasury, banking and capital markets and securitisations. 

Paschal has lectured for the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Irish Taxation Institute and the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers on the taxation aspects of Irish and international taxation and financial services businesses. Paschal has also participated on a number of financial service industry bodies.

 

Martin Noonan, Director, Grant Thornton

Martin joined Grant Thornton in 2022 and has 20 years’ experience working in various tax roles, both in practice and industry.

He currently provides tax advice to a broad range of indigenous Irish businesses and multinational clients – specialising in international tax, particularly in the technology sector. Martin’s significant experience as an in-house tax specialist provides him with a high level of business acumen and gives him a unique perspective on the practical issues arising from tax legislative changes, restructuring and rationalization programs. Martin also has extensive experience managing tax due diligence on both the “buy” and “sell” side.
