ACCA Ireland's Business Leaders Forum are inviting you to our online ‘Your Path to Leadership’ event, which will be delivered by former ACCA Global President, Brian McEnery, Managing Partner - BDO Ireland.
This online seminar will take place on Wednesday 10th May 2023.
During this session, Brian will talk about what Leadership means to him, and share his tips on how to be a great Leader. Brian will outline why leadership is more than just a position or title, it’s a behaviour that manifests not only in the workforce, but extends also into everyday life. About the speaker
Brian McEnery
Brian is the Managing Partner of BDO Ireland. He was elected into this role and began his term in March 2023. Brian and his Leadership team will continue to build on the Firm’s strengths and strategy to deliver the best results for our clients.
A Limerick native, Brian McEnery joined BDO in Ireland in 1995 and qualified as an ACCA while working in Corporate Finance at the BDO Limerick office. In 2012 Brian re-joined the Firm as a Partner. Since then, he has been instrumental in developing healthcare consulting, corporate restructuring, NPL management and turnaround practices. In 2018, he became BDO’s Head of Advisory Services and International Liaison Partner. Brian continues to retain close connectivity within the healthcare sector as well as driving growth across all areas of the Firm.
Brian has been heavily involved in the accounting profession and the wider business and has held many leadership positions throughout his career. These include the roles of Worldwide President of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chair of HIQA, Board Member & Chair of the Audit Committee of NAMA. Brian represents ACCA on the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), and on Accountancy Europe.
