ACCA Leinster Panel invites you to join them for the event 'Irish Funds and the evolution of Fintech' on Friday, 25 June from 12:30 - 13:30

 

This event aims to look at how innovation and emerging technologies have impacted the business environment over the past 25 years and explore what we can take from that experience and identify opportunities as we begin to emerge from the current global pandemic.

 

We are delighted to be joined by guest speakers Daire Lawlor, Managing Director at Interwoven Ltd., Deirdre Kelly, Managing Director at State Street, Shane Mulcahy, Strategy and Consulting Manager at Accenture.   

 

During the event, the speakers will also consider two recent publications from the Irish Funds FinTech Working Group members:

 

 

GUEST SPEAKERS 

 

Dáire Lawlor, Managing Director, Interwoven Ltd.

 

Prior to founding Interwoven Ltd. with whom Dáire currently works in an advisory capacity for a number of FinTech Firms and their clients in the Funds Industry, Dáire has had a long and varied career in senior management roles in entrepreneurial businesses successfully servicing blue-chip clients, most recently in State Street, where he was Managing Director and Head of the Consulting Services Group.

Dáire also sits on the Irish Funds’ Industry Innovation, Skills and Technology Steering Group & Fintech working group, is active on the ICT SkillNet Innovation Panel and co-chairs the events committee for BlockChain Ireland.

 

 

Deirdre Kelly, Managing Director, State Street

 

Deirdre Kelly currently has responsibility for strategic product initiatives in the Alternative Investment Services division. Deirdre has over 20 years of experience in Alternative Hedge Fund Administration.

Deirdre joined State Street in 2012 as part of State Street’s acquisition of Goldman Sachs Administration Services (GSAS) which she joined in 2001. At GSAS, Deirdre was responsible for NAV Operations in Ireland and subsequently managed the Client Implementation & Product Development team. Prior to GSAS, Deirdre also served as a VP at IFA in Bermuda and also at JP Morgan/Chase Manhattan. 

Deirdre received a BA in Economics & Finance in 1995 from the National University of Ireland (Maynooth) & presently serves on the Irish Funds Fintech Working Group.

 

 

Shane Mulcahy, Strategy and Consulting Manager, Accenture

 

Shane is a Strategy and Consulting Manager within Accenture’s UK&I Financial Services practice. Shane supports client development and delivery across the International Financial Services (IFS) portfolio of clients locally in Ireland, including Funds & Asset Management; Cross-Border Life & Wealth Management; Corporate & Investment Banking and Aircraft Leasing sectors.

Shane specialises in Operations and Process Transformation evaluating processes, innovation, and performance designed to increase consistency, quality, and additional value in business operations.

Shane is a certified Lean Six Sigma practitioner, a Chartered Banker, and holds a BSc Accounting degree from UCC.

Shane is also a member of the Irish Funds Industry Association FinTech Working Group and co-author of the paper entitled ‘FinTech Barriers to Implementation’.
