Jim Power is owner manager of Jim Power Economics Limited, an economic consultancy.

In 2013, he co-founded CJP Consultants with Economist Chris Johns.

He is Economic Advisor to the Friends First Group and was previously Treasury Economist at AIB Group and Chief Economist at Bank of Ireland Treasury.

Jim writes a weekly column in the Irish Examiner and Sunday Business Post online edition. He has lectured on the full-time and part-time MBA at Smurfit School of Business UCD, and on the Local Government MBA at DCU.

He is a board member of Agri-aware, the food awareness body and is Chairperson of Love Irish Food.  

Jim is a native of Waterford and comes from a farming background.
