The Munster member network panel invite you to the launch of ACCA's Global Supply Chain Report, which will be delivered by Clive Webb, ACCA, Eugene Drennan, President of the Irish Road Haulage Association and Joe O’Connor, Truly Irish Country Foods Limited.
This online seminar will take place on 11 May 2022.
ACCA in conjunction with, the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA®) and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) have recently issued a report on Supply chains: a finance professional’s perspective.
Global supply chains have been, and continue to be, severely disrupted by the pandemic and now the conflict in Ukraine. The focus on just-in-time manufacture and global networks have been tested and for some organisations the conversation is now about resilience and multiple sources of supply.
Changes are already occurring and the impact of climate change on extended supply chains, as well as political actions on trade are being felt.
What do accountancy and finance professionals now need to understand? How do they adapt to a changed world? What is the impact on business and on finance and their relationship with the procurement function?
The Report provides a charter of 10 key areas for collaboration between finance and supply chain teams and a panel of speakers will discuss 5 highlights/trends coming out of the report.
- The impact of “industry 4.0” on the future of procurement, supply and supply chain management.
- Impact of recent disruptions to the supply chain (trade tariffs, JIT, reshoring/nearshoring etc)
- Key supply chain trends such as ethical supply chains and technological advancements.
- The importance of supply chain risk management and governance.
- Collaboration required between finance and supply chain teams to deliver greater value to society.
