The Emotionally Effective Leader is an interactive and practice based one-day workshop designed to help participants understand how emotional intelligence can help them to improve their leadership performance and that of their teams and the organization as a whole.
 

It provides participants with a comprehensive approach for introducing emotional intelligence into their organisations and provides them with a step-by-step approach for interpreting and applying emotional intelligence concepts and frameworks to support self-development and the development of others unleashing their full leadership potential.

Orla Carolan is an ACCA member, executive coach and consultant. Orla worked in the financial services sector for over 15 years in hedge fund financial reporting before retraining as an executive and career coach, facilitator and trainer and running her own coaching practice until she joined Grant Thornton in 2018 where she is Associate Director in the Grant Thornton People and Change Consulting Practice. Orla is a certified practitioner in the EQi2.0 and EQi360 emotional intelligence assessments in addition to a number of other psychometric tools for individual and team development and coaching. Orla is also a Director of the International Coach Federation Irish Chapter and a member of the British Psychological Society.

Christine Berg is a Manager in the People and Change Consulting practice, Grant Thornton Dublin.  Christine has over 16 years of experience in Financial Services and in Learning and Development, working for a large financial services organisation. She lead and delivered complex projects both domestically and abroad. Christine specialises in end to end learning methodology to develop tailored and blended learning solutions for clients to meet bespoke learning and development needs. Christine has comprehensive knowledge in executive education and training in large organisations as well as extensive experience in lecturing to large audiences on the topic of investment funds (fund administration and custodial services) for a large Irish University.
