Speaker: Allan Dowie

Allan Dowie, CFO Clyde Blowers Capital, will be guest speaker on the night. Allan qualified with ACCA in 1997 and has an MBA from Strathclyde University. He has over 20 years’ experience in financial and strategic roles. Having previously worked for Scottish Power, British Energy, LogicaCMG, KPMG and National Australia Bank, in 2007 Allan joined a Clyde Union as CFO. By 2012 the business had seen revenue growth from £70m to £420m and operations increase from one location in Glasgow to a presence in over 100 countries. In 2011, he led the sale process where Clyde Union was sold to SPX Corporation, a fortune 500 company based in North Carolina for £750m. Allan recently took up the position of CFO for Clyde Blowers at Private Equity house specialising in mission critical industrial products with a portfolio of Revenues of £1.5bn and over 5000 employees across the Globe.
