ACCA Ireland’s Business Leaders Forum and Leinster member network panel would like to invite you to an online seminar launch on 21st June 2023 for ACCA's Accounting for Society's Values report.

This session will be delivered by Clive Webb (ACCA's Head of Business Management), Sharon Critchlow (ACCA Global Council Member), Orla Carolan (Business Leaders Forum Chair/ Grant Thornton, Director – Financial Services Advisory), and Elaine Brady (Managing Partner at Barden Leinster).

This virtual seminar will look at the ACCA's Accounting for Society's Values report which will be released on 20 June 2023. The report looks at the social impact of the sustainability agenda on organisations and how the accountancy and finance profession can, and should, support this.

Accountancy and finance professionals play a fundamental role in their organisation’s delivering a just transition – a combination of economic, environmental and social equality.  With a looming imperative the time for action is now.

In its latest report ACCA explores the social dimension of this transition and establishes:

  • what we mean by the social agenda
  • the importance of ‘good jobs’
  • the key role that our profession needs to play in furthering this agenda
  • how to develop strategies to address the social agenda and the guidance available
  • the relevance of the reporting requirements that many organisations are now starting to be required to embrace; and
  • how organisational performance now needs to be addressed on a more holistic basis.

Join us to explore this significant, but challenging area, for the profession.
