Ian is a Partner in BDO’s Corporate Recovery team, and has 20 years’ restructuring experience, joining BDO from a Big Four firm where he was a Managing Director.


He is a qualified Insolvency Practitioner, a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), a member of Restructuring & Insolvency Ireland and sits on the ACCA SME Network panel in Ireland.


Ian has managed some of the largest restructuring engagements in Ireland across various types of appointments including Receiverships, Liquidations, Examinerships and SCARPs.


Ian has a strong track record of helping businesses and lenders navigate challenging financial situations. He has supported the successful wind-down, restructuring and sale of financially distressed businesses across a wide range of sectors including retail, construction, financial services, property, aviation, healthcare, motor and hospitality, and is frequently called on to advise lenders on how best to manage complex cases. Ian also brings valuable experience in reviewing company failures and advising on improvements in governance and business practices.
