Paula Byrne FCCA, MBA award-winning ACCA  Accounting and Advanced Taxation lecturer will present an online interactive workshop, on 'Houses – Dealing with the Tax Consequences of their Disposal & Purchase' on Thursday, 18 March 2021 from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm. 

 

 In this session, Paula will be covering the following areas:

 

  • CGT - A deep dive on PPR relief to include what qualifies as deemed occupation and what impacts negatively on PPR
  • STAMP DUTY - Including residential stamp refund scheme
  • CAT - A deep dive on DHR.

 

Paula will also be using break- out rooms in this session, dividing members into different rooms where they will have the opportunity to assess real-life case studies.

 

Paula has 18 years of experience advising clients on a vast range of taxation topics as well as preparing accounts and taxation returns across all tax headings. Previously Chief Financial Officer for HSBC in Ireland, Paula is the examiner on the Certified Tax Advisor course and delivers taxation and accounting courses directly to corporate clients. Paula has also authored two ACCA approved Irish tax textbooks on Irish Taxation Intermediate and Irish Taxation Advanced.
