Richie Boucher has been with Bank of Ireland since 2003. He began as chief executive of Corporate Banking and in 2006 transitioned to chief executive of the Irish Retail division. He was appointed chief executive officer of the Group in February 2009 and has led the organisation through a major recapitalisation, restructuring and rationalisation process.

Mr Boucher was born and educated in Southern Africa. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin and went on to hold various roles in Ulster Bank and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
