Power BI masterclass session 2: Interactive Reporting & Dashboard Design
Take your reporting skills further by learning how to design engaging and interactive Power BI dashboards. This session focuses on creating impactful visualisations, applying filters and slicers effectively, enabling drill-through analysis, and implementing best-practice report design techniques. Participants will also learn how to publish reports to the Power BI Service and share insights with others.
This session covers:
- More in depth overview of visuals - table and matrix visualisation – conditional formatting
- Overview of slicers vs filters
- Filters at visual level, page level and report level.
- Top N, generating drill through pages,
- Overview of visual interaction, grouping visualisations etc.
- Best practises for designing a report (e.g., Themes, illustrations, Filters and Slicers)
- Saving work in progress files and .pbix files
- Publishing simple report to Power BI workspace
