We are delighted to have Anthony Ryan, Managing Director of Anthony Ryan Ltd. as our guest speaker for the evening.

Anthony Ryan is Managing Director of Anthony Ryan Ltd. Anthony is a graduate of Clongowes Wood College and NUIG where he received a B.Com

Anthony worked in the family business throughout school and college. He then trained in retail at Switzers, Dublin (now Brown Thomas) from 1978- 1981. Due to family needs Anthony returned to work at Anthony Ryan Ltd as Assistant General Manager in 1981. He was promoted to Managing Director of Anthony Ryan Ltd in 1995 a position he currently holds directing the activities of the 4 stores in the Anthony Ryan Group.

Director of National Breast Cancer Research Institute, President Corrib Rowing and Yachting Club, Chairman Galway City Business Association, President of Rotary Club Galway- Salthill, Member of Galway Race Committee, currently Vice Chairman, Member of The Turf Club and the Irish National Hunt Society, Chairman of Stewards at Sligo Race Course. Council Member of Galway Chamber of Commerce,  Former President of Junior Chamber Galway, Former Chairman of Galway International Oyster Festival.

Interests:

Anthony has a keen interest in Rugby, Horseracing and Boating on Lough Corrib.
