Ken Owens has been a Partner in the Asset Management Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers since 2001 and has been with PwC for 25 years.
During a 15 year career as an audit partner Ken worked with a range of global asset managers who were using Ireland as a location for the establishment and/or servicing of UCITS funds, hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, ETFs, money market funds, private equity funds.
Alan Barry started his career in Financial Services in 1986 and has spent more than 20 years working with Investment Banks and Funds. Alan qualified as an ACCA in 1994 and has worked in Dublin and London. In 2015, Alan founded Fund Elements to develop FUSION a new full stack standard for Investment Fund operations. FUSION uses cloud-based business analysis software to provide a single view of ever process required to run the operations of an Investment Fund.
Declan Casey joined the Irish Funds Industry Association in 2001 and is the Legal & Technical Director with responsibility for both the international and domestic regulatory and legislative environment. Declan keeps industry informed of international and domestic regulatory/legislative initiatives and manages the Associations relationships with government, politicians and regulators. Declan is a member of EFAMA’s Supervision & Third-Country Developments Standing Committee and also EFAMA’s Public Policy Platform. He also participates on a number of government groups relating to asset management in particular and has been a long standing member of the governments IFSC Funds Group where he is also the Secretary. In 2015 the Department of Finance asked Declan to assist with the establishment of a Private Sector Consultative Forum on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing with Declan becoming the groups inaugural Chair. Declan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and prior to joining Irish Funds spent over a decade working for a large domestic bank in structured finance, commercial lending and legal roles. Declan has also lectured on the Investment Funds Industry for the Law Society of Ireland.
